FIRST - It is highly recommended that you purchase this DVD. It is worth it. This I promise. When you do have the Kleenex ready as this film will bring on the tears --- even more so than films like Terms of Endearment or Philadelphia or The Notebook. What makes My Sister's Keeper so haunting is the music and the incredible acting. The movies plot is about Anna who sues for medical emancipation from her parents Sara and Brian. Anna was conceived by her parents to specifically be a donor for many medical procedures needed to keep her dying sister Kate alive. The plot is not what you think and I will not give it away nor will I give away some big differences in the movies ending and what happens in the book. This movie is one to cuddle up with your sweetheart or family and be thankful for what you have. Just have the tissues ready. Two songs from the movie; Don't Wanna Cry for You and Feels Like Home by Pete Yorn and Edwina Hayes really stand out. The first song "Don't Wanna Cry" is set to certain scenes in the movie with a emphasis on the father's bond with both his daughters and troubled son. The second song, "Feels Like Home" is set to a beach outing for the Fitzgerald family who is trying to fulfill a last request from their daughter Kate, who is terminally ill from Leukemia. Kate's mother does not want Kate at the beach as she feels it will harm her even though her daughter's doctor has cleared the outing.
