HGRV: Whittemore Peterson Institute Opens (1 of 2)

HGRV: Whittemore Peterson Institute Opens (1 of 2) Tube. Duration : 6.70 Mins.

The Whittemore Peterson Institute for Neuro Immune Disease (a non-profit organisation) are opening the world's first clinic and research centre paired with Nevada University in the United States. In october 2009 scientists from the WPI made public the discovery of XMRV in 68% of patients with CFS and published the discovery in the worlds most reputable scientific journal, 'SCIENCE'. Months later the WPI revealed that with further enhanced testing methods, the cohort of CFS patients they tested had now elevated to 98.8% positive for XMRV. Soon, psychiatrists such as Simon Wessely (who have invested their life's work in calling CFS a mental disorder) released negative studies of XMRV in persons without neuro immune disease, using decades old frozen blood samples from psychiatric clinics. Scandelously, the negative XMRV studies were found to involve people diagnosed over the telephone, and the researchers did not use a positive known positive XMRV sample to base their 'negative' results on. Even when the WPI sent known positive XMRV samples from CFS patients, those with vested interests refused to use them *without telling the public or printing this in their scientific paper*. Critically, the 'failed XMRV studies were NOT replication studies using the same scientific methods as the WPI used, or even the same patient cohorts. No replication study has ever failed to find XMRV in patients with CFS, which is the key feature when considering if XMRV does or does not exist. in ...

HGRV found in European ME/CFS patients

HGRV found in European ME/CFS patients Tube. Duration : 2.30 Mins.

September 2010. After the bombshell findings of Murine Leukemia Virus Related Virus (XMRV) being discovered in American CFS patients and this finding being published in the highly coveted SCIENCE journal (Lomardi et al, 2009 - Detection of an infectious retrovirus XMRV in the blood cells of patients with CFS) by the Whittemore Peterson Institute (WPI) and this finding confirmed as real by the American government FDA and published in PNAS journal (Alter et al, 2010 - Detection of MLV-related virus gene sequences in blood of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome and healthy blood donors) who discovered polytrophic MULV's in CFS patients - things in Europe aren't so rosy. Or so people are lead to believe..... due to the silence in the media and endless 'failed' studies using outspoken denialists of ME/CFS, methods that cannot detect XMRV and a cohort of psychiatrically ill people who do not meet the Criteria for neuro immune CFS or ME. The British and Dutch say they can't find XMRV, and it's probably contamination, and thus won't fund any more studies because they cannot find anything. Now, by total coincidence, both these countries have spent decades blaming their own citizens with ME/CFS and telling them their viral symptoms are a 'belief' in between the ears, and they need to manage their illness with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Exercise and get back to work. This has cost the tax payer BILLIONS in currency and the disease remains incurable. Research funding ...

a song written for a dear friend of mine who passed away from Leukemia. One of the hardest lessons I've ever had to learn, but one of the most important - that love transcends death and that appreciating each moment is crucial to our lives.

CNN: Brendan Foster Dies

CNN: Brendan Foster Dies Video Clips. Duration : 2.63 Mins.

BOTHELL, Wash. -- The day I met Brenden Foster, I met an old soul in an 11 year old's body. "I should be gone in a week or so," he said calmly. When I asked him what he thought were the best things in life, Brenden said, "Just having one." I didn't understand how this child, who was a year younger than my own son, could be so courageous facing death. "It happens. It's natural," Brenden told me. Three years ago, doctors diagnosed Brenden with leukemia. The boy who once rushed through homework so he could play outside found himself confined to a bed. But there was no confining his spirit. "I had a great time. And until my time comes, I'm going to keep having a great time," he said. Brenden's selfless dying wish was to help the homeless. "They're probably starving, so give'em a chance," he said, "food and water." But Brenden was too ill to feed them on his own. So volunteers from Emerald City Lights Bike Ride passed out some 200 sandwiches to the homeless in Seattle. Then Brenden's last wish took on a life of its own. A TV station in Los Angeles held a food drive. School kids in Ohio collected cans. People in Pensacola, Florida gathered goods. And here in Western Washington, KOMO viewers from all over took part in the Stuff the Truck food drive in Brenden's honor. Hundreds with generous hearts donated six and a half huge truck loads of groceries and more than 000 in cash to benefit Northwest Harvest and Food Lifeline. Brenden touched hearts all over the world. His wish ...
